Free information on YouTube? That’s good. That’s a good thing. So in fact, let me just show you, what do I mean? Let’s jump right into my screen itself. Let’s go.

All right, I will show you here, how do you actually search for free information on how to sell Amazon? So at the search bar, you can type “how to sell Amazon” and you can see there’s a lot of selection over here. So there’s a lot of free information. And so, in fact, WAH Academy has its own YouTube channel and you can search for “WAH Academy” and I talk about what are the three types of product that you should avoid, that you should not source? And welcome back over here. And the thing is that finding free information on Google and YouTube is good. Why do I say that? It’s because, number one, let’s say for example if you want to slim down, you can find free information online on YouTube, how to slim down, what kind of meals to take, what kind of exercise to do. So you can in fact find tons of information like this online, on YouTube, on Google, on everywhere.

You might be able to actually reduce maybe three to five KG of your weight, or a couple of CMs around your waist. That’s pretty good from the information on YouTube. And there’s some people who want to get real results. That’s why they actually hire coaches to help them with that. So they told me that YouTube and Googling online is a great way to understand how the journey works. But if you want to really get result, you must really get somebody to coach you, to help you to slim down.

So let’s come back to this topic. So getting free information on YouTube to learn how to start to sell Amazon is great. So amongst all this, amongst all the free information to get on YouTube, you need to understand something. So how do you actually navigate and understand the different rule about exportation from China and importation into the US in regards to your ecommerce products? And who are those trustworthy business networks like freight forwarders in China and the US that you can collaborate with, that you can ship your products with? And are there any contacts in the US that can help you to inspect and receive your products at the same time?

So what you need to realize is that a lot of people out there who actually teach courses like this might not be local. So they might not understand how someone from Singapore can do this business when my products are in the US. So they might have business contacts but not all US business contacts are able to work with businesses who are based in Singapore.

So I remember this story that, when I first started this business about seven or eight years ago, so I’m trying to find a freight forwarding company who is based in the US to help me ship the products over from China. So apparently, majority of the US companies, they prefer to work with companies who are based in US. So they advised me to set up a company in Oregon in order for my products to be shipped over from China itself to my contacts in the US.

It seems to me to be pretty outrageous because I need to spend a few hundred to a few thousand dollars to actually set up company in Oregon where I have not even stabilized myself in Singapore. So at that point of time, I’m very desperate to actually ship my product over from China. At the same time, I want my own US contact. So when asked, a lot of people, they only say that, “Hey, you’re not in the US and I can’t really help you with that because right now you’re in Singapore,” and the jurisdiction in Singapore, the laws and regulation is totally different from what they have in the US.

These are some of the considerations that you need to understand and realize that even though you can actually have information online, which is a great, there’s a lot of rules and regulation that is different from when you conduct the business in Singapore versus when you conduct the business in the US.
