All right. So in today's podcast, I'll talk about what is the best month for beginners to start their Amazon e-commerce business.

So of course, long story short, the best, best month is to start at the start of the year, which is January. Right. So why do I say January is the best month to start an Amazon e-commerce business? Because a lot of people disagree with me that, “hey, January is the worst month to actually sell your products because the customers on Amazon, they are busy clearing their credit card bills from December last year.” So do you think we should actually start our business in January where the sales is going to be very low and February the sales is going to be very, very low because the China suppliers are on a break, their month break for Chinese New Year. Right.

So actually it's not really that true. Because for new sellers, my advice is to actually start learning the ropes. When you start your business, you're not going to buy a few thousand units to actually send everything into Amazon and pray that it sells. Right. In our program, we talk about how do you actually start the business with just three to five units to make sure that the product that you're trying to sell, you're trying to source that you have prospects with, you're able to sell at least that three to five units. Okay? So if you start this business and you're not able to sell the three to five units of that product that you intended to sell, then you should not sell that product – because it's going to be pretty competitive, pretty expensive. And especially for new sellers, right. In this business, there's a lot of things for you to learn about, right. So when you go into this business with thousands and thousands of units, it's not going to work.

So the best, best month is to start at the start of year. If you are listening to this podcast and you start in the middle of the year, it's still okay, just make sure that you don't go for shiny objects and follow what other people are doing, buy like thousands of units. And when you're new, you're learning about copywriting. You're learning about marketing. You should just start with like three to five units. Okay?

So the best month is to start at the start of year, like what I mentioned earlier. And the thing is that from there, you have a lot of time for you to learn about this business and you want to be business-ready by the third quarter of the year. All right. So that means you know what kind of product you are selling, you have already more or less optimized all your listings, you'll have more or less have optimized your products in terms of packaging and all that. Right. And you are ready for the fourth quarter of the year. So this is the business plan for the year, right.

So by third quarter of the year, you have your private label. You have your influencers, everything's ready and you are ready to fight the battle at the end of the year, where Christmas comes, when Thanksgiving is there, and you are ready to launch into another level. Right. So at fourth quarter of the year, every year, this is where I earn my 80% of my profits. Right. Fourth quarter of the year, and yeah, from there, you're able to actually scale up faster. Okay? And you can actually take your break during the start of the year, if you're somebody selling for many years in this business itself. So yeah, long story short, the best month is in January. Right.

So I hope this podcast is able to give you some kind of insights, where should we start? And even though you start in the middle year, it doesn't matter, just make sure that you buy three to five units, just make sure that you do all the right things. And if you are late for the year, it's fine. If you miss Christmas, it's fine because there's many Christmas to come. But the thing is that you want to be prepared for every Christmas. Okay?

So, just a tip before we end the podcast. If you're listening to this podcast, maybe during third quarter of the year, and you know that Christmas is around the corner, and the only thing that you want to do is to make sure that your products have demand. Your products have influencers, (and they are) willing to actually collaborate with you, (or they) have already collaborated with you and their followers are really, really interested in your products. And that will give you a major chance to win the battle at the end of the year. Right. So, yeah, that's it for this podcast. And I'll see you in the next one.
